CONFIRMATION

Receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation, the Christian's relationship with God is made stronger. The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are strengthened.

Holy Orders

Holy Orders is the sacrament by which bishops, priests, and deacons are ordained and receive the power and grace to perform their ministerial duties.

AUMBRY FOR THE HOLY OILS

On entering the Gathering Area of the church, on the right you will see two stained glass panels depicting the Seven Sacraments. These panels were designed by the eminent glass artist Michelle O Donnell. The centre niche (Aumbry) contains holy oils in three glass containers, used in the sacraments. (Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Orders and +Sacrament of the Sick). Beneath the Aumbry is a white disc symbolising the creative energy and presence of the Spirit of God in life. The scripture quotation at the base of both panels represents our Mission Statement:

"To act justly, to love tenderly, to walk humbly with your God."                                                                                         Micah 6:8
