"If you judge people you have no time to love them."

  4. SUMMER DUES - Archbishop Farrell has written to request that a Summer Dues collection be taken up again this year to support the priests of the diocese. This initiative was first introduced last year and was very successful. The First Collection at Sunday masses, which is for the support of all our priests both in the Parish and in the Diocese, has seen a reduction of 30% in the first four months of 2022. Your support would be very much appreciated.

Summer Dues envelope are available at the back of the church and may be returned to the safe at the back of the church.

  5. DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES takes place in September. If you would like to become as Associate Member of the Pilgrimage, a member of the Legion of Mary is available at the back of the church today (and next week) to accept your offering.

  6. WEEKLY ENVELOPES - please write your name and address clearly on the weekly envelopes so that an accurate record can be kept. Thank you

  7. BUILDING HOPE In April Archbishop Dermot Farrell established a Task Force called Building Hope to assess the needs of the people of the diocese emerging from Covid-19 and to support parish communities, as they undertake radical renewal and look to the future. We hope to establish a Parish Team to keep us informed about developments. See diocesan website (here) for further information. If you would like to be part of this team, please leave your name and number with the office or email

  8. CHURCH VOLUNTEERS are needed - Sanitizers to keep our Sacred Space clean; Readers; Ministers of the Eucharist; Power Point Team and Zoom Camera Team. A short training session will be given, where necessary.
  9. WORLD YOUTH DAY LISBON 2023 - August 1 to 6 in Lisbon 2023.

Parishes and individuals are now invited to register their interest in either attending WYD Lisbon or organising a parish group to participate.

At present it is intended to have the option for teenagers aged 16-18 to participate as well as those aged 18-29.
The Archdiocese of Dublin has a great tradition in participation at World Youth Day. This is a great opportunity to reach out to young people and connect them to young people in many parishes that will participate at WYD.
A full pastoral programme for all pilgrims will also commence later in the year, with opportunities for leadership roles as well.
