  1. ST BRIGID'S DAY - next Sunday 1st February - Masses at the usual times.

  2. FEAST OF ST BLAISE - Tuesday 3rd February – Throats will be blessed after the 10am Mass
  3. BETHANY BEREAVEMENT TRAINING COURSE -  in Scoil Mhuire, Sandymount.  Dates: 7th Feb / 21st Feb /  7th March / 21st  March and 11th April. We would welcome volunteers in the Newtownpark Group. For Application forms emailbethanybereavement1982@gmail.com

  4. Were you married in University Church? You are invited to a special Mass on Sunday the 15th of February at 6:15pm to celebrate the hundreds of couples married in this special church. If you haven't already, submit your photo here to be included in our display. Please RSVP for Mass followed by champagne and chocolates

  5. CENTERING PRAYER Monday at 7pm in the Oval Room.

  6. GET TOGETHER our first vintage coffee morning for 2026 is on tomorrow Monday 26 January, 11am – 12.30, in Coffee Dock with speaker Mr. Michael Hall, a lecturer in Trinity College. Michael will speak on the history behind Glasnevin Cemetery and some of the interesting occupants buried there. Buy a ticket and bring a friend along to enjoy a vintage morning coffee & very interesting talk. Tickets available at reception in the Centre, €15 each. All are welcome. Raffle in aid of the Centre on the day.

    To our Monday coffee dock patrons, the coffee dock is in use for the Get together once a month, usually the last Monday of the month, so not open in the normal manner. All are welcome to attend the gathering as mentioned above.

  7. ART APPRECIATION: returns for another term on Wednesday 28th January, @ 11.15 – 13.00 in Conference Hall with lecturer, Jeccica Fahy. Please contact Jessica via email jessfahy@gmail.com if you would like further information or to join this interesting series of lectures.

  8. SENIOR CITIZENS BINGO continues Mondays, 14.00-16.00 in Coffee Dock. All are welcome to join and enjoy some games with the group along with a cup of tea and chat. Great fun and prizes too. will meet this Monday, 19th January, in Room 2 @ 19.15.

  9. BOOK CLUB: are reading the 1st book of 2026 Daughters of the Bamboo Grove, written by Barbara Demick. We will meet up Tuesday 3rd February @ 10.30am in coffee dock. New members always welcome.

  10. FILM CLUB AND CRAFTY ANGELS will return in January 2026 on Thursdays from 14.30 in Room 3 Hats for the homeless & Pastoral Patchwork & other groups will also return in January 2026.

  11. HATS FOR THE HOMELESS are having a well-deserved break and not meeting in January. The group will resume on Wednesday 11 February, in the oval room and Coffee Dock. 

  12. CRAFTY ANGELS will recommence this week in Room 3 on Thursday 29 January at 2.30-4pm. Come along, bring your craft project and work alongside like-minded friends.

  13. PARISH CHOIR Seeking New Members - The parish choir sings at 10.45 Mass on Sundays and practises on Wednesdays at 7 pm in the Pastoral Centre. We'd love to hear from you if you are interested in joining us. Please contact Eithne 086 385 6870
  14. The Slides that you see each Sunday are produced by a very small team that is severely stretched, they would love some assistance. If you have some basic skills in PowerPoint and would be willing to help, please contact Maire Therese Pierce or Vincent Nirappel.         

  15. GOOD NEWS STAND - new collection of cards for  special occasions exam results etc. also a large selection of second hand books for sale at the back of the church.
  16. MASS BOOKINGS can now be made by calling to the Sacristy after mass and speaking with Vincent or by email to sacristan@newtownparkparish.com
  17.  PATHWAYS – Exploring Faith as an Adult – this programme is run by the Archdiocese over two years, from September to May each year. It takes place on Thursdays evening at 7pm in DCU St Patrick's Campus, Drumcondra. Applications are now open for course commencing 28 September 2023. Early Booking is advised. See leaflets at end of Church. 

  18. LEGION OF MARY meeting every Tuesday 8.00pm Room 1 in the Pastoral Centre, we are looking for new members for details email parishoffice@newtownparkparish.com 
  19. BECOME A CHURCH VOLUNTEER -  Sanitizers to keep our Sacred Space clean; Readers; Ministers of the Eucharist; Power Point Team and Zoom Camera Team. A short training session will be given, where necessary.
  20. COFFEE DOCK – is open next week9.00am to 12:30pm from Monday to Friday and after the 9.30 and 10.45 Masses today

  21. PILATES: Run by Niamh Rafter Chartered Physiotherapist. The class will commence for a 5-week course initially. In Conference Hall, commencing Wednesday 7th January 2026, weekly from 17.00 – 17.45. Fee is payable for the course.   22. DIY class for beginners We have several new dates on Saturdays for this one-day course booked in the Centre. On 10 Jan, 7 Feb, 7 Mar & 11 April in Coffee Dock. Run by DIY Academy. Learn basic household DIY. Contact Martin Glynn to book 0831085145. Fee is payable for the course. Places are limited, first come, first served. Nice idea to give as a gift voucher for a Christmas present idea!

  23. A big thank you to all our faithful volunteers who help in so many ways to keep the Centre running and present such a warm welcome to visitors.
